  1. 1

On flat, sound walls the panels can be glued directly — even over existing ceramic tiles. Prepare painted surfaces before applying adhesive.

  2. 2

On uneven or damp walls, fix treated timber battens about every 300 mm (horizontal battens for vertical panels, and vice versa).

  3. 3

Fit the start and edge trim around the area, slide in the first panel and check it is perfectly plumb with a spirit level.

  4. 4

Staple, nail or screw through the panel lip into each batten. Leave about 5 mm clearance at the trims.

  5. 5

Slot the next panel fully into the groove and repeat. Finish corners with internal and external corner profiles.

FAQ

Wall panel questions, answered

Can't find your answer? Call or WhatsApp Hannes on 082 521 2266.

Can PVC wall panels go over existing tiles?

Yes. PVC panels can be glued straight onto existing ceramic tiles without removing them, which makes them a quick and affordable way to update a bathroom or kitchen.

Are PVC wall panels waterproof?

Yes. PVC does not absorb water, so the panels are ideal for showers, bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Seal edges around wet areas with a suitable sealant.

What is the difference between PVC panels and WPC slats?

PVC panels are thin, flat, waterproof cladding — great for covering whole walls in wet areas. WPC (wood-plastic composite) slats are thicker, fluted decorative boards that add texture and a timber look to feature walls.

Can I install wall panels myself?

Yes — it is a straightforward DIY job with a fine-tooth saw, a spirit level and either adhesive or battens. Download our installation guide (PDF) or ask us for advice.
